Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

M0USE is an interesting creature. This little nocturne scurries around in the dark with the mice (who aren't at all afraid of such a companion). However, when the sky begins to turn light, M0USE will curl up in a comfortable position beneath a bush and watch the sunrise, skin gradually becoming more like stone. As soon as the sun sets, the hatchling will wake up again, and be off running and playing as usual. Soon after hatching, M0USE discovered a 'freezing' spell carelessly left on the table by MessengerDragon. After working out what it did, the young dragon cast it so as to remain small enough to play with the mice. This hatchling is quite well-known and friendly to all, though obviously the night-time dragons know M0USE better than the others.
