Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This poor dragon is quite conflicted about the season in which he was born. While he loves the colors, and the pumpkins, and the candy, the very idea of spooky things mortifies him. Accordingly, when Halloween rolls around and children in a variety of terrifying disguises haunt the streets--and, more ominously, dark dragons such as Marrows and Cavern Lurkers come out to breed--he's a trembling mess, spending most of the time hiding under the bed of his human keeper and sobbing, despite all her attempts to comfort him. However, even while the locals like poking gentle fun at "Meek Moricus," he's really a much loved and respected creature, because his kindness is far greater than his cowardice. For it was none other than the normally terrified Moricus who drove off a vampire dragon that attacked a band of local children and hatchlings one night, the shy brown dragon putting the lives of others before his fear.
