Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Levathne was adopted from the cave, but as a hatchling was always nagging at the elders to go back there- there was something important there, something that needed to be attended to. Brushing it off as the foolish fantasies of a child, the adults of the clan were surprised to discover that shortly after reaching adulthood, she had vanished. Not for long, however- soon she returned, egg in tow, and out popped Tovora.

Even Lev is a bit unsure why she needed to bring that egg back, but she has always been staunchly protective of the younger guardian, and the pair are inseparable. She is much more lax about her other duties; while Tovora fusses over the nest, Levathne mostly naps. The hatchlings don't mind, as she makes for an excellent jungle gym. The pseudo-sisters thus create a balanced worldview for their young charges: Tovora is a bit too dedicated, Levathne is a bit too lazy, and the youngsters learn a little bit from each. It's a system. It works. Sort of.
