Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Parlax is a very secretive dragon, a quiet type. He stays in the shadows most of the time (which makes sense, due to his breed), observing situations and only offering comments when he finds it absolutely necessary. On the surface he serves as a hunter, traveling with the others to bring back food; however, unbeknownst to the rest of the dragons, he also spends a great deal of time at night flying out into the wild and convening with those vampire dragons who do not menace his family. Parlax is of the belief that the vampires are not all evil, and thus should not be thrust away from the clan completely; it's his hope that he might someday be able to reconcile the clan with their wayward night-walkers.
