Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Crimsongold is the red Striped son of LalRioth the Red and SapphireGoldStream the blue Striped. He is very artistically inclined, and his cave is full of colors made from powdered stones and crushed herbs and berries. He paints the cave walls, ceilings, floors and even the rock furniture with a whole variety of dazzling colors and designs. He is very accepting of criticism, though he rarely gets any. He also experiments on himself a lot, painting his wings and scales with different hues and seeing how they react to air, light and movement. Like his mother, he also has a mischievous streak, often painting other dragons (and his owner) while they are asleep and laughing at their shock when they realize what has happened.
