Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Morphael has grown much more serious as he got older, going from a hotheaded young Magi to a calm and serious adult. He views everything logically and unemotionally, and has been called heartless many times. Morphael at first secluded himself from the rest of the horde, much preferring the company of silence to those that just do not understand. He has made several choices for the good of the horde that caused much pain, making him less than popular with the rest.

He gave himself to Siannah for a night, resulting in Morado, who was bitten by his 'father', Fierar. When he found out, it was the first time he had felt true emotion in an almost terrifyingly long time. He felt betrayed, even when he knew that was what Siannah had wanted. Morphael only grew more distant and cold after that, and soon left the horde completely. His father, Madoor, wishes for him to return, but Morphael will not. Not until he can be viewed as something other than an unfeeling monster for his decisions.
