Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Taliax's Treasure has always felt she didn't belong.  She was loved and cared for just as well as the others, but she just felt... different from the other hatchlings.  She likes to sit above the mouth of the cave, looking out at the wide world, searching.  She feels very close to a certain dragon tamer that occasionally comes to call who goes by the name of Taliax, and has a strange feeling in her heart that she was supposed to belong to the human.
