Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Merle Kaedae Rentis joined the Cyr under unusual circumstances. Tiamat's volcanic den had been a bit unstable lately and when she left the youngling's cave to investigate, she found a red egg that had somehow withstood the intense heat of the magma. When she touched it she sensed the egg's lineage came, at least in part, from her own kind. She brought the egg to Lady Nerruse and so Merle became the next of the clan. She loves heat, the more intense the better. Though she cannot bask within the magma as Tiamat does, she is content to lay upon a ledge in the Elder's private den to soak up the radiant heat. Tiamat treats Merle as a daughter. Philomelos often watches over her from afar with a wistful, contemplative expression.
