Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tai Lung is an extremely skilled warrior, taught by his father Tristan, and took his lessons very seriously. However, as time passed, Tai Lung exceeded not only his father's abilities, but all of the other dragons in the cave. His strength earned him the position as protector of the cave alongside the beautiful guardian dragon, Moro. He prefers to keep to himself, and really only socializes when he has to. The only one he really enjoys talking to is Moro since they're the protectors of the cave, meaning they spend most of the day with each other, and they have a lot in common. Eventually, the two decided to be mates, the reason they give to the other dragons being, "Well, why not We might as well." Their behavior in public has not changed and they are still very serious, but when alone, the two can be very affectionate.
