Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cliffside Sunrise is a sunrise dragon. He is very energetic, and he can often be found flying through the trees and above the ocean by his cliffside cave. Although he is very social, his home is very remote, and he doesn't have many friends that are willing to make the trip to his cave to see him. As a result, he is very lonely, and often wishes for a companion. Cliffside Sunrise usually doesn't get many requests or commands from his clan leaders, so he usually has most of the day to himself. What he does isn't known, but some dragons say that during his free time, he explores the oceans. Although he has told no one, Cliffside Sunrise has discovered a tiny hidden tropical island just beyond his cave's view of the horizon, and he often disappears for days there to enjoy the sun and the relaxing waves.
