Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Timara is technically the eldest of the Ash'del Clan, being the first dragon to grow up under her caretaker's nurture. She is one of the founding members, hence, and serves as majordomo to Siratha the Blazing Crest, the Clan matriarch. Timara's speed is a fascinating thing, even to her kin, and her flight-aided running leaps the stuff of legend in the region. Her talent is put to good use when messages or packets need to be swiftly delivered—she is not often seen without her custom-tailored harness and satchel for carrying them.
