Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Written in an ancient and lost language, Grohiik's name means "Wolf King of Ice". Never apart from his human tamer, Grohiik has a strong sense of justice and loyalty, standing up for any who need his help. Like his tamer however, he is not one to interfere in the matters of others- he has learned over time to show restraint and great discipline in the manner in which he conducts himself around others. Grohiik and his human companion can often be found in the snowy alpines, hiding from others until they are called for a purpose. One of mind, Grohiik and his tamer take advantage of the mountain seclusion to train their minds and bodies.
