Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Seraphintia LyzarGift (after the gemstone: Seraphinite) joined the clan cave as its 199th dragon, a very special and generous gift from The Lady Lyzar, both a trusted friend and confidant to The Clan Mother. Being a rare and much sought after breed, she was guarded closely during her development, all the clan dragons feeling a deep sense of protectiveness for her, and was cherished by one and all. She is a gentle giant, whose scales shimmer in any form of light, but possess an enchanting glow in the dim light of the blue moon. She is wise beyond her years, even for a dragon, and many seek her guidance and council, hoping to receive even just a simple nod of her crowned head. Word of her arrival traveled swiftly through the land, and her fame grows with each passing hour, yet she remains modest and regal, a true paragon for any to follow, be they dragon or human. At night, she likes to slip away, taking a quiet respite from the seemingly never ending flow of visitors and well-wishers.
