Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Peppah once roamed the land in a herd of Christmas Dragons, also known as Yulebucks, spreading good cheer among the inhabitants of the frozen North. However all that was destroyed when the vampires arrived...

Just as the Yulebucks are able to spread good cheer, the Vampires spread negative emotions, which are toxic to the Yulebucks. It is a little known fact that Yulebucks spread good cheer because they feed on positive emotions. As the Vampires poisons spread across the snow, the Yulebucks began to sicken and die. The herd moved off, trying to escape the vampires. But their poisons had spread far, and it took many days before the Yulebucks were out of reach of the effects of the Vampires. But by then it was too late. Only two Yulebucks survived, Peppah and a helpless hatchling called Candy. Soon after that they were joined by Frohst, a spirit of Winter.

Now they are journeying through a strange land where there is no snow. I wonder what they will find ...
