Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a stream flows down a mountainside, so this dragon flows through the wind. Gliding in and around clouds, he sometimes uses the force his passing generates to sculpt the clouds into giant replicas of creatures he has seen below. Other times, he lazily soars about, enjoying the sun on his scales.

He loves to show off his flying skill. When he sees another dragon, he will happily race them through the air. He is not the fastest of dragons but is extremely adept at tricky air maneuvers, so his preference is for races involving obstacles in the air—mountaintops, trees, even other dragons.

Every so often, a number of other skywing dragons gather in the sky with him and perform elegant aerobatics—flight formations, swoops and dives wondrous to behold.
