Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Over the centuries, the storms that sweep her world are becoming more and more violent. Many are beginning to fear that the end of their world is coming due to the fierce nature of these massive tempests. To stabilize the weather and prevent disaster, several Storm Dragons formed what is known as the Great Weather Manipulation Project (GWMP). Karia was raised to be a sweet and well-mannered dragon by a group of White Dragons, or at least as mild-mannered as a Storm Dragon can ever be. She had never seen another Storm Dragon until some members of GWMP crashed near her Cave after failing to stop a fearful Storm. Although Karia does not have her adoptive family skill with healing magics, she assisted with the healing in her own small ways until the Project members were strong again. When GWMP left to return to their headquarters, they invited Karia along as her skills with healing were helpful in emergencies when there were no White dragons available.
