Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Morethrin is, for the most part, a typical Sunset Dragon. He quickly rushes out of his lair as dusk nears, snatching any prey he can find. He also has a large affinity for obtaining any rarities he can find to store within his vast hoard. However, his reason for collecting gems is not the usual explanation; he hopes to use these gems to unlock a potent spell.

He believes through enough hard work and research, he can unlock magic capable of expanding or even perpetuating sunsets, and that sunstones and moonstones are likely to contain this power, due to their namesake. Sadly for him, his skills in this department are quite lacking. One notable failure was when he left a beaker near a few explosive components, resulting in him blasting a good deal of his lair to bits. He fortunately survived, but was knocked out for several hours due to it. He doesn't remember what happened that night, making him think he caused a time rift and re-double his efforts. Hopefully, he'll find the truth.
