Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dragons of EG's Cave become incredibly impatient with this dragon who tends to make up his own words in the middle of sentences. This usually entails his adding "izzle" to the end of a perfectly good word. Some of the more artsy dragons of EG's Cave have approached him to say that they know that this is simply his way of showing his creativity. He replied, "Forizzle my dizzle".
