Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shattered Nerves is one of many followers of the Ice, Sadistic Chaos, with a goal to bring a rebellion to Aquenee's cave so that it may be under the rule of evil once again. He quite enjoys his own bits of evil and murder of other dragons, as many other Ices in Aquenee's cave do. Shattered Nerves's name comes from his preferred method of killing, which is literally freezing the heads of other dragons down into the brain and then using raw force to shatter the ice, which often kills his victims instantly. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with many adult dragons or heat-based hatchlings such as Embers, Magmas, or Reds, so his victims are usually younger hatchlings or pygmies. Many are terrified of Nerves's methods, despite how quick he usually makes the experience.
