Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Roulette is by far the creepiest Grave dragon in the cave. When she was first hatched, she fashioned the grim expression that most Grave hatchlings wore, but her stare was eerily disturbing. She frightened most dragons, and even gave some of the Halloween Dragons a scare. Her muteness only contributes to her menacing air, and whether she refuses to speak or is just plain mute is often a question of debate.

The gaping faces on her wings are much brighter and the amount appears to be more vast than other Grave Dragons' wings, suggesting that she goes out on a daily basis, perhaps even multiple times a day, to destroy villages.

Roulette executes odd rituals, such as storing the ashes she collects from various areas in sacks and jars, not to eat, but to collect. She also has a stash of charcoal from multiple different volcanoes she's traveled to. She has a fascination for the dark arts, and using blood and ash from victims she creates nightmarish paintings and pictures.
