Dragons are creatures with nearly unlimited life spans. They can survive for long periods of time, and no one has found a dragon that has died of old age. Adolescence is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Once they hit adolescence, hatchlings change quickly, maturing to their full forms in only 2 years.

Dragons don’t communicate with each other verbally, but they will growl to scare off predators and frighten prey. Young dragons will emit an extremely high-pitched squeal when they are frightened. To communicate, they use telepathy with each other and to speak to other creatures.

Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Ambitious, cunning, and persistent, L L has earned quite the name for himself. Although belonging to none of the Northern clans in particular, he's managed to unite the Clan's armies and mobilizing them against Creorluna with far more effect than ever before.

With his trusted mate C C, L L scantly ever has lost a single fight through careful strategic moves; in a twist of irony L L himself is not particularly skilled in battle, he knows how to plan to get results. He's a smart l but not always a merciful; he'll even sacrifice his own forces if the gain is greater than his loss.

Despite his youth and enigmatic past, L L seems to be on equal ground with his adversary Izdati in terms of intellect and army. With powerful dragons like Breneko, Ivan, and fierce Turiae under his command, L L may actually stand a chance of vanquishing his foe. However, he bears a secret only Ivan and C C are aware of: Ivan is his half-brother. Their shared parent: none other than Izdati himself.
