Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Kessata is founder and current leader of New Magehaven, and was the one to initiate the split with Magehaven Island, feeling them far too cautious and conservative with respect to their magical experiments.  Her first act after selecting a location was to surround it with opaque (at least from the outside), unbreakable shields—shields that would allow anyone in, but only a select few out.  The few members of New Magehaven who have successfully escaped the weyr describe Kessata as cold, cruel, and utterly lacking in empathy, using magic in a way that makes even Magehaven Island's worst excesses pale by comparison.  Outsiders are merely raw material for the latest experiment, and none who enter are ever seen outside the weyr's shields again—at least, not in any recognizable form.
