Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

PoisonMarkaleb is a Black Dragon who is very angry and bitter. She was kicked out by her parents as a maturing hatchling, because she found herself attracted to other dragon queens. Her parents said that she was unnatural and evil. And they ordered her to "just act NORMAL!" But when she couldn't bring herself to court an adult male, they turned her out into the cold. PoisonMarkaleb had been very spoiled up to that point, and suddenly she had to hunt for herself and find dry places to sleep in a huge dark forest. She was an independent and confident adult when she found another cave of dragons. One of the dragons there to greet her was a Black queen called ShatteredHopes. It was love at first sight, for both of them. PoisonMarkaleb is so angry about this that she refuses to even be around any buck dragons; taking out her rage at her parents on a whole gender.
