Almerald Dragons are an unusual species. They have gem-like protrusions along their spine that brighten and darken depending on their mood. In addition, their body temperature grows warmer during periods of excitement, and cooler during darker moods such as anger or depression; as such, it is fairly easy to read an Almerald’s emotions. Their mood can change quickly at times, going from calm to angry in a matter of seconds. If their anger becomes bad enough they can become a frightening opponent. Adults are not normally high in energy, so they hunt infrequently and prefer to lazily consume large quantities of fruits and nuts.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Emerald Spelled with an A loves his coffee plant. Of course, coffee doesn't actually grow in Nworset—his so-called "coffee plant" is actually a blueberry bush right outside of his kitchen window, where he dumps his coffee grounds every morning. The acidic grounds help the bush thrive, so it has some really nice fruit. Other than the one bush he doesn't do much gardening, as it's too much effort to bother with. He likes to sunbathe in summer and sit by the fire in winter. While he treats complaining about the effort it takes to do an activity as a hobby, once he hauls himself in front of the pipe organ at the Nworset Theatre he becomes the most energetic member of the orchestra. It doesn't matter whether he is doing accompaniment for a play or putting on a solo performance, he loves to tickle the ivories. When he's in the orchestra pit, Syn and Con often throw a darkness spell over him to prevent the green glow of his gems from drawing attention away from the action on the stage.
