Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gaia came to the caves of the Storm Crow Clan as a small green egg and soon became a large green dragon that collected many pebbles and hid them at the back of the cave. She has very little interest in anything except her pebble collection and she guards them carefully, threatening earthquakes to anyone who comes too close. For the most part the other dragons leave her alone though occasionally they have to sneak up when she is sleeping to remove eggs from her collection and put them back where they belong. This is most common when there is a stone or geode egg within the cave. In fact Gaia so often mistakes these eggs for her pebbles and they are rolled so often from the hatching ground to her collection and then back again by their rescuers that the dragons of the Storm Crow Clan began to fear that the eggs get would get dizzy and not hatch properly. Luckily all hatched properly, although Gaia still has a tendency to steal stone and geode hatchlings when they sit still for too long.
