Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Teah, a hulking female stone dragon of the cave, is completely fed up with all of the male stones bringing her down. With everything she says, all the male stones shake their heads and claim, "You're a female; you don't know anything." Teah has vowed to bring a stop to the female oppression in the cave, and has started a small clan to enforce her beliefs. Due to her mistreatment, Teah refuses to take a mate and commits herself to a life of helping out other females in the cave. Teah normally roots herself in a small crevice in the cave wall and waits for female dragons to seek her advice. Some of the females wonder how Teah will get anything done with her movement if she almost always stays in the same place.
