Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Raz isn't always the friendliest dragon. He tends to stick to himself more than anything else. Overly friendly dragons are not welcomed by him, and such dragons are treated in the most ill manner. He is formal in many things, and tends to carry himself in the most dignified manner possible. He is always one to pick a fight, and being equipped with a sharp, cunning mind, he is quick to pick a fight and is even quicker to enter a full on attack. He can be unpredictable at times in his actions.  Raz doesn't always care for his children or mate Tomoko, though his eldest daughter Shiika has proved to be of interest to him. He is often surprised at how quickly she picks up on fighting techniques and wonders how much better she'll get.
