Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It keeps trying to give you pieces of its nesting material as a gift.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

When Hanabira No-ojo came to the clan shortly after her sister Nojoo she too was adopted by Rose Nylund. Right after hatching she began to form connections not only to her sister and adopted mother but also to some of the clan's frozen hatchlings.

Pinkie and Rosie soon became inseparable from her and No-ojo decided to stay frozen like them, roaming the caves and delivering cards and flowers and little gifts in secret.
