This hatchling could hardly be considered cute.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This paranoid little hatchling believes that spiders are the cause of all the problems in the world. In fact, he believes they are to blame for every single problem that ever existed, is existing, or will exist. His hatred of spiders is so fanatical that even the mention of them will send him into tirades of rage, spit frothing from his mouth as he commands dragons of his clan to destroy all the spiders. As a result of his vehement loathing, many of his clan's most imminent pranksters often drop the eight-legged creatures into his nest just to watch him scream in pure terror when he discovers them. And while some may feel pity for him when they hear his frantic screams, rarely does anyone take him seriously, for spiders are one of the mascots of halloween, and this little dragon is a halloween dragon.
