Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Shardonnay champagne feels a great sense of loyalty and generosity to her clan and places its well-being above her own. Willing to sacrifice everything she has to protect it. Her dedication goes as far as learning healing magic from the White dragons in her clan to help her fellow clan members better. It didn't come easy to her learning their magic but after long and intensive training she succeeded. Shardonnay is often seen as the personification of charity in her clan. Shardonnay has a sense of an unlimited loving kindness towards all others, becoming a vegetarian even. Shardonnay will however unfortunately often find herself viscerally unable to refuse someone she cares about, postponing her goals and self-fulfillment in light of other's needs. Shardonnay makes the happiness of others her personal responsibility. Shardonnay is close friends with cassidy carmen, bonnie fireheart, chi gold star, Amelie Tempest and Leigh brooks.
