Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Golden Brilliance, known as Goldie to her friends, is considered to be a stunning beauty, even among other golden dragons. She spends a great deal of time sitting by pools of water, gently polishing her scales with her tongue and admiring her own reflection in the water. This being said, she is not completely self absorbed. While she is teased quite frequently for being vain, she widely liked and respected. She is valued for more than just her good looks; she is very good with hatchlings and enjoys spending time with them. Many of the hatchlings are fascinated by the reflections given off by her highly polished scales, and she enjoys encouraging the hatchlings to play with their own reflections in them. She is kind and even tempered, but enjoys playing hard to get with the male dragons of the clan. She knows that she can take her pick from them, and so is very picky about whom she spends time with.
