White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lucent is the oldest dragon to inhabit her cave. As such, she has come to assume the role of matriarch, caring for new eggs and tending to the affairs of the adults. Her keeper finds her indispensable, acting as his aide and keeping him grounded when things go wrong. The other dragons, all of whom have passed through her care at some point, speak of her patience, wisdom, and grace. The only exception is Raven, raised as her younger brother, who never hesitates to tease her over her misadventures as a hatchling.
