Harvest Dragons are a large, flightless breed most often found in heavily forested mountains. Normally shy, these omnivorous dragons keep to themselves in remote regions, but in the fall they descend from their high territory to search for food—and lots of it. During the autumn months, harvest dragons will eat whatever they can find, from large and small animals to nuts and fruit. In the winter they retreat into large caves and hibernate until spring, living off the fat they have built up.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Svein has served as the head gatherer for the cave almost since he first hatched, going so far as to eventually begin cultivating many of the plants he had become accustomed to seeking out. Along the centuries what began as a few messy patches of sproutlings and a small, malnourished grove or two has grown into a large almost maze-like garden. An ever growing creation tilled and watched over by Svein and his life-mate Katla and a few others, the garden produces a great deal of sustenance for Vinr's more herbivorous dragons and offers a lovely place of rest and recreation for many of his cave-mates.
