Pumpkin Dragons are a very small breed, named after their affinity for pumpkins. They are always found living inside hollowed-out pumpkins, and are only seen during the harvest season. Young children often hollow out and decorate their pumpkins in the hope that a Pumpkin Dragon will make it his or her home.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Because pumpkin dragons are so tiny compared with most other dragons, Tiracabor Pepon worries that one of the full-size adults might accidentally crush him or his pumpkin home. He has therefore tucked his pumpkin into a little niche of the cave, which he calls Pepon's Pumpkin Patch. Tiracabor Pepon adores entertaining the clan's hatchlings in his cozy little niche. His specialty is telling scary ghost stories, complete with spooky sound effects furnished with the help of his hollowed-out pumpkin, various little knickknacks from his miniature dragon hoard, and volunteers from his hatchling audience. Some of the hatchlings love him so much that they have asked for an anti-aging spell to be cast on them, so they can stay small enough to remain with their pumpkin dragon friend forever. Tiracabor Pepon has been very moved by this, and has dubbed these frozen hatchlings Pepon's Particular Pumpkin Pals.
