Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As one of the oldest dragons in her owner's cave, Roseheart has witnessed many changes on Valkemare. She and three others, Midnightgaze (a Storm dragon, and the eldest), Crystalgleam (a Guardian dragoness), and Heatherfoot (a Purple dragoness) act as an unofficial council of sorts that offers all sorts of advice to the other dragons and even their owner on occasion. For the longest time, she was the sole Aria dragon in her cave and though she loves all of her children she secretly pined to have a baby of her own kind. So imagine the happy moment when she and her current Sunrise mate discovered they were expecting an egg, followed by the surprise of seeing the bright pink hue of its shell once it was laid! Soon after, she was approached by three Frilled dragons who reported that they too were finding fresh eggs of their breed after so long without them. Between raising the new generation of Arias and Frills, the four of them are investigating the cause of this delightful turn of events.
