Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Winterhope was a Dragonhaven Island foundling, and grew up idolizing Kalazor, the community's heroic guardian leader.  When he left the island, practically the first dragons Winterhope met were Faylarna and Orlem (two dragons dedicated to helping dragons in need), and they soon became his role models.  As a result, it was inevitable that he would set out to right wrongs and do everything he could to make the world a better place.  At his best, Winterhope outshines even Faylarna in determination (though, unlike her, he knows how to pace himself), and seems to be building a reputation to match if not exceed hers.  Winterhope's biggest accomplishment to date is becoming the only adult dragon allowed to live at Yearhome (how he achieved this honor is unclear, but rumors seem to indicate that he either saved Belamara and Eohu from a pack of zombies or vampires).
