Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Dreams of Derse spends her time almost constantly sleeping. She wastes away her time in her dreams, which she calls her only escape from reality.

Her bond with the Violet Rogue is strong, if merely for the dreams they both have. They'll lie comatose in their dens for days, merely to wake up and hastily sketch out the pictures their dreams hold and the stories that they tell. It's certainly not healthy for an adult dragon and a frozen hatchling to do so, but they do it anyway.

Dreams of Derse dreams of tall, violet towers reaching for the sky, shrouded by the constant horror of death and the dark, snake-like tentacles that reach down for human flesh. Her dreams are certainly darker than the Violet Rogue's, even if she doesn't believe so. She thinks that it's perfectly normal.

The nightmares that they invoke in her certainly aren't, though, and no matter what the others say, she won't stop sleeping.
