Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dazz loves nothing more than a good bedtime story. As a nocturnal dragon it's often the first thing he hears when waking up—a story told by an adult to a diurnal hatchling to get them to calm down enough to sleep. Dazz couldn't expect a better way to start the night. He often spends the whole night thinking about the adventures of princes and swashbucklers and big bad manticores, either reliving some of his favourite stories or coming up with own adventures for his favourite heroes between the well-known stories. And once the morning dawns he makes sure to settle down close enough to the nocturnal hatchlings so that he can listen in on their bedtime stories before dropping off himself.
