Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Refuser never was an especially sensitive dragon. He only ever cared about his own feelings. So when a young dragoness approached him about a possible mating and he wasn't interested, he didn't exactly let her down gently. He told her coldly and cruelly what he thought about her looks, her heritage, her personality, her hoard, and a few other things, and none of his thoughts were complimentary.

The young dragoness was hurt deeply and to have her vengeance, she cast a curse upon Refuser that would slowly and painfully kill him. So far he has managed to battle the worst of the curse's effects through his own Ice magic, but it's only a matter of time until he'll lose this particular battle. That is unless of course the young Black dragoness who took a liking to him recently manages to break the curse somehow. Refuser has hope again for the first time in ages and as long as that remains this way, he will refrain from telling Victoria what exactly he thinks of her.
