Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lacki comes from a well respected and highly beloved family, yet she never seems to be content with that. Other dragons would be happy to have her heritage and the prestige that goes with it. But Lacki claims she would prefer to come from a poor, inbred line of Terraes and Pebbles if she could have parents with a little bit of personality and character. In her mind her parents are little more than glorified breeding specimens lacking any goals or distinguishable traits.

Dragons actually coming from poor, inbred families roll their eyes at Lacki's whining and call them "gold-scroller problems".
