Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Even before it's born, the bright eyes of a Magi dragon will glow through the shell of its egg, vivid amber like fire surrounding the glittering blue of the sky... but an orange-tinted egg which remains dull and lightless brings nothing but sadness to its parents. Believing their child to be dead, Airien's parents could not bring themselves to break the egg nor feed it to their young. Instead, they left it in a shady clearing far from their home, where it was discovered by Wondrous, who added it to his treasure hoard. But no-one had reckoned on the tiny dragonlet's will to live, and a crack began to appear in the egg with surprising speed...<br/>Airien is naturally proficient in many forms of magic, and would be considered a perfect example of his breed were it not for the fact that he is almost completely blind. He has become a well-known resident of the dragons' nest, and in return for sharing in the prey brought home by Ebony Star, he teaches the younger ones what he knows of strategy
