Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Purest once met Anthony on one of her many journeys. He was her native guide in a weyr solely made up out of Ultraviolet dragons and in return for his help, she told him about her travels and her home clan. Fascinated by her tales of a multi-breed clan living in peace with the humans on and around its territory and the generally peaceful coexistence, he decided to follow her to her home.

Now living among such a variety of individuals Purest enjoys every day, taking care of their lair and their offspring as long as Anthony travels around and enjoying her travel reports when she's home.
