Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Marianne loves her mate Leonard, but she doesn't really understand him. She tells him she loves him, but that is not enough. She tries to give him stability and a place to come home to, yet he thinks she holds him back and robs him of his freedom.

Luckily though Marianne doesn't really see his side; she only realizes that he calls her beautiful and writes songs about her. And for now that is enough.
