Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a large, shield-like object at the end of its tail that it uses for protection.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Yodachi relishes good ghost stories—the ones that make his spine tingle and his tail skitter back and forth unconsciously. He often disappears into dark corners of the caverns with his friends, where they camp in a huddled circle to swap tales. When it's Yodachi's turn to speak his expression turns sly, his lips pulling back from his fangs into an evil little grin. After twilight falls, Yodachi often sneaks out alone in order to poke the deserted corners of the Kyokos Vale, seeking the things that arrive to fill the shadows.
