Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Nearly identical to her brother Caesium in personality, Rubidium often gets far too attached to others. She's unable to go even a few days without a mate, who should in addition be focused on her constantly—she'll feel abandoned otherwise—and "prove" their love to her on a regular basis. Also similarly to her brother, she's very much emotionally unstable, able to go from perfectly fine to murderous in a dangerously short time, especially if jealousy is involved. Living with Rubidium gets immensely exhausting because of all this; many members of the Periodic Clan want nothing to do with her by now, even though she's really mostly sweet and caring. It's simply not worth the risk.
