Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fantaji's mind lives on dreams and imagination. When other dragons communicate telepathically with her, they often receive images, colors, and song rather than words. Fantaji does not think in words, and she cannot speak with words. She often bewilders her listeners and many do not understand her. Others are frightened by her stranger way of communication. As such, Fantaji lives a secluded life with few friends. These friends are mostly coastal dragons; the projections from Fantaji's minds are often inspired by the sea and it makes sense that coastal dragons would best understand her. Even though Fantaji has close friends, she spends most of her time delving in the open sea, floating with breaching whales, jumping with dolphins, or sitting atop a rock on the shoreline.
