Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Autumn Hat was named after some strange words painted on her egg. Being born in Autumn, Hat carries resemblence of the weather of Autumn. She ran into trouble as soon as she grew up, as the leaves falling off her body were considered a mess by many dragons in the clan, and the angered dragons complained to the higher ups about that. Her human master, however, managed to calm them down and make them accept it as a feature of Hat and her sister, Leaves Producer.

In the clan's daily life, Hat served as Phantom's assistant, and later as Mage's assistant after Phantom's retirement. She does not officially possess any power, but is often given the responsibility of running the clan when Mage is unavailable, which resulted in her gaining influential power in the cave, unofficially climbing to the fourth highest position of the clan, below her human master, Phantom and Mage.

She's very dedicated to her job, always providing help to Phantom and Mage, and is a good friend to both of them.
