Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vennie, or Venn her nickname given to her by Halldur and Liada, is one of the three members of the Terrors. Given the group name Terrors jokingly by Sparc who had just barely helped them out of another problem the three had brought on themselves. Venn was the "take action girl", if any problem arose in a scheme they had planned Venn would be checking it out to see if it was ok for Liada and Halldur to follow. Venn's speed is almost impossible to match, even to other whiptails. Ever since her hatching she has practiced her running and trained so that she could be the best. She is always mouthing off to Liada and coming up with clever ways to make her wrong which sets Liada off on one of her anger rages, and that is what Venn gets a kick out of. Liada will yell and scream for a while but once she cools down Venn is rolling on the floor laughing because of what Liada did. Her personality gets her most of the guys she hangs out with.
