Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vweilkyn Lastray's scales are broad, and speckled with gold. Everything about him is broad, from his horns, to his ribcage, to his wingspan, to his courtesy towards all sentient beings. While he maintains a politely distant demeanour with any strangers who are not overtly threatening, he is affable and casual around those he knows well. He is courteous even towards potential enemies, though it is a cold, warning courtesy. While he would rather convince a threat to leave of its own accord, he is rarely known to hesitate to force enemies away. The exception are young dragons, hatchlings or little better, who are too foolish to know when they are dangerously outmatched, unless they should threaten Kae, for whom he has a deep affection.
