Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

From the moment Silver Tinsel hatched he boasted of his handsome shining scales and exterior beauty. Claiming to be the most handsome of all dragons, he decided none of the dragonesses in Niva's Cave were worthy of bearing his beautiful children and so he went on a journey to find a mate. He searched far and wide, and after searching for many years, he decided to return home to his cave, and admit defeat.Upon entering the nest of shinning trinkets and sparkling jewels, he noticed an equally shiny nest next to his on the cave floor. Looking at the gorgeous dragoness next to him, he immediately fell in love with her. Niva's Cave celebrated their mating and were glad that they would not have to endure as many long hours of bragging about beauty from both dragons. Now, the happy couple spends their days by the silver lake on Niva's territory, admiring their beautiful reflections, and spreading their many children to other caves to spread the beauty.
